Who’s Got The Map?

In celebration of International Jazz Day—a UNESCO initiative honouring jazz’s power to unite cultures worldwide—UKZN’s Centre for Jazz and Popular Music , in partnership with the South African Association for Jazz Education (SAJE), the Centre for Creative Arts (CCA), and venues across Durban, proudly presents a vibrant series of events and dialogues.

This year’s theme, Who’s Got The Map?, invites artists, educators, and audiences to explore jazz’s evolving role in today’s cultural landscape.

Tune in online for three dynamic panel discussions with industry leaders:

· Wednesday, 30 April | Thursday, 1 May | Friday, 2 May
· 11:00 AM (SAST)
· Streamed live via the Centre for Jazz and Popular Music’s Facebook page.

Made possible by the KwaZulu-Natal Performing Arts Trust (KZNPAT),
this initiative underscores our shared commitment to nurturing young South African talent and advancing jazz education.

Whether you are an educator, musician, or jazz enthusiast, join SAJE
and our partners in celebrating the rhythms of unity and creativity.
Let’s answer the question together: Who’s Got The Map?
